An atlas in Italian and English
Miti del Giappone is an editorial project by Tech.st. Originally created for Italian-speaking readers, it now offers an English edition. It sits alongside Atlante del Giappone (Italian), a site about Japanese culture and crafts.
How we work
We cite sources for each reading and distinguish mythical narratives, local traditions and our editorial interpretations. We do not present myths as established historical facts. These introductory texts and translations are prepared with AI assistance; independent specialist and language review has not yet been completed.
Images and transparency
The cover illustration is AI-created and shows an imaginary landscape. It is not a photograph of Takachiho, Izumo, Ise or any particular shrine.
From reading to travel
We aim to develop cultural travel ideas. At present, the routes are editorial suggestions: this site offers no bookable packages, confirmed prices or guaranteed guide services. Your travel summary is processed on your device and does not start a request.
